Hey Steamers,
I am so excited about the book I'm wrapping up. It's called Saving Face. This will be my very first novel. It's based on real events. The genre is Romantic Suspense, with a taste of thrill.
Here's the synopsis:
Amber is an innocent young woman trying to get by. John is the arrogant jerk who falls for her. He’s destined to destroy everything Amber loves. Watch her persevere as she tries for happily ever after.
The book is about a young girl who is trying to sort her life out. The story starts her senior year in high school. John slides into the story, making his mark on her. She is trying to continue with her life, but he keeps giving her hurdles to jump. He wants her all to himself and will do anything to make that happen. -- I'm going to fast forward a little bit, skipping key points. A few major life events happen, where she is forced to depend on him, but he leaves her in the dust. It becomes all about money. Her life spirals out of control. -- Prison. Pregnancy. Probation. She's forced to start all over. He comes back at the worst possible time, only to ruin everything she's accomplished.
There is a happily ever after. I'm just not going to tell you what happens. You'll have to read it for yourself.
Edits-- I have just under 200 pages left, out of 300+. It'll be on Amazon soon. Look out for it. Get on my Amazon page and Follow me so you'll know when it is released! http://www.amazon.com/author/krsteam That's all for now!
Love Always,
Steamy

Emotions
Hey Steamers,
I feel like I don't really talk about this topic very much and maybe I should. Living with PTSD, it's hard. It's why no relationship ever worked out before my husband. He said he wanted to end it in the very beginning because it was like I had no soul. No matter how many buttons he pushed, I couldn't respond. When he felt pain, I would just stand there, unable to help him through it. When I thought we were doing great... gosh I still remember the very moment... he was telling me it was over. Seconds before it came out of his mouth, I was curled up against his arm absolutely oblivious. I had just gotten home from a stressful day at work. I think that was the same day I got in a bad fight and a guy who absolutely loathed me took a punch for me. Being a woman, especially one that reaks of this much intimidation... most guys want to see how well I handle a punch. I was ready to take it, too. I remember sitting on the couch, unable to explain what I felt inside, unable to connect. I wanted to tell him what was going on and what I had just experienced. The confusion that was sitting on my chest and making me feel bad for letting the guy take the punch. And here, my boyfriend of a little over a year was full of emotions and felt there was nothing left for us. That he was alone and I was just a fucking robot. I was trained to be a robot. And, like I've said to a few fans in interviews... they teach you how to be a robot but they don't unteach you.
Anyway, the other day, my husband (who's overseas in the military right now, so it's already hard being there for each other) and I were talking. He was being an emotional rollercoaster and I honestly didn't know how to help. Back when he wanted to end things, I would have made a dumb joke or tried to relate in a way that made him feel a lot worse about everything. But, now, the woman he's teaching me how to be... I'm learning how to feel the emotions but I don't know what to do once I feel them. I just get overwhelmed and feel like I'm falling apart. That's when he brought up how much more he likes that I do have a soul and I can fall apart. I guess it's nice to know there isn't a bunch of metal pieces clinging together taking up space where my heart should be.
What's the point I'm trying to make, you ask?
Well, I signed with a new publisher and I'm trying to pull myself out of my comfort zone. I mean, the original reason I started writing was to cope with my PTSD. And, it feels like I just got lost in giving people what they wanted from me and forgot the whole point of why I'm even doing all of this.
And now... I am writing my first official novel. It's a lot of emotions practically pouring out of my characters, pouring out of me. A year ago, or five, ten, I never would have been able to do this. I didn't believe in myself enough to make it this far into recovery. Hell, I didn't believe in myself when I was in school. I didn't care about college. I didn't have dreams, goals, ambition. I just wanted to know I would make it to see tomorrow. Nothing else mattered. But... now... it matters. Believing in me matters. Writing as a career, to share what I can truly do... it matters.
Lately, I found my way of digging into emotions I never thought I had. Feelings I didn't know existed. Pain I never acknowledged in myself, let alone others. Things I used to shrug off... I can't do that anymore. I don't want to. I want to feel. And the one thing pulling all of this out of me is music. Specifically female lead singer bands for alternative rock, rock, hard rock, etc.
Last week one specifically really gripped my heart from deep within and all I could do was loop and listen to her powerful and full of emotional voice. Lzzy Hale. She's taking the cake... bringing me to a totally different place and gosh it has me completely overwhelmed. And, as I'm feeling everything she's pushing out of me, I'm writing. I'm pouring it all out. I'm exploding into my writing... both typing it out and hand writing it. There's also Amy Lee, Maria Brink, Taylor Momsen, etc. A few I literally knew nothing about, like Maria and Taylor. But plenty of others I can't think of at the moment.
It feels so good to... feel. Maybe one day, PTSD will be something I had.
Thanks for reading this, guys and gals.

Career Moves
Hey Steamers,
Gosh, have I missed you all. Since transitioning, a lot of the fans are stepping back and waiting to see what I do next. I have so many goals it almost seems unrealistic. :-p So, redoing some of my favorite stories like Not a Time to Quit, Tiffany, and Seduced by Winter. I have a lot of stories I've been working on, as well as writing genres my followers are not used to. I finished a novel not too long ago which is more an intense romantic thriller that I would love to get turned into a movie. I also am currently finishing up Season One of On My Radar, the first ten books. AND, I am working on a book I am writing to be pitched to Hallmark but it might end up being too raw and emotional for them to accept. If they decline my offer, I'll be pushing for a movie deal elsewhere. Really excited on the starting point of the story. I have the full outline and it is going to be absolutely beautiful while starting out in total sadness. It's going to be a really romantic tear jerker. I also have about 7 other books I have outlined and planned to work on soon. I wish each day came with twelve more hours so I could get more accomplished!
Also, I'll be doing live interviews and be part of release parties and all of that fun stuff in the future. I hope to see you guys there!
Yours Truly,

Transitioning
Hey Steamers,
So, last month a great thing happened. A door opened up that I didn't plan on opening ever again. I signed with a new publisher. I have a lot of great ideas and a lot of plans all outlined for my career right now. The fun part is my books are going to be transitioning. I will have my previous works, of course, but they'll be cleaned up and some will be turned into novels while others will be throw into a collection. Some books will make it into the collection but also have a novel.
A big thing happening is On My Radar, my vision is going to be put into place. It will be turning into a reading series but it will be outlined like a tv show. There will be a total of ten stories (episodes) per book (season).
Also, I am hoping to start collaborating with other authors. So, hopefully that will happen soon enough, when the time is right. If you like my work and think you have what it takes, send me an email: the.kelly.renee@gmail.com Let's talk.
Other things. I will be trying to dive into the movie industry. I have plenty of ideas wrote out. Now, the publisher and I will be moving forward and trying to get the ball rolling in that direction as well.
There are a lot of things going on right now but big things will be coming soon. All of my books (minus some audibles, until I can get them removed) are currently unpublished. Please, bare with me as I go through this transitioning process and get everything figured out. 14 books are in the transitoning process and I'm writing a lot of new stuff right now. Please, be patient. I can't wait to share this chapter of my life with you guys. I hope you like everything I'm doing and will do!
Always

Heart Strings
Hey Guys. I guess I went and did it again. This time, I wrote a short novella. It is a short romance story about a guy who has the hots for a rock star. It's pretty cute, has a little sarcasm, of course it is really steamy, and it has some comical parts.
This will be my second romance book and my second heterosexual romance. :-D
So, I'll do what I did in my last post and give you guys the blurb. Enjoy!
Blurb: She was a rock star and he was just an ordinary fan up until she is about to be attacked and he protects her from harm. Now, things have changed. She kissed him and he's following her to her concerts. Things start to become real between them and he starts to pull away to protect himself. She has to make a decision on if he is worth the risk or if her career is more important.
She gets the urge to write a different kind of song when she's with him, a love song. A song she thinks she can't finish. When she brings it up to him, he tells her when the words are true, they'll just come to her. That changes everything for her... including her career.
This book will also be in Pre-Order. It should be available sometime this weekend. I truly hope you guys are liking the direction I'm going!
Please leave me reviews!

Seduced by Winter
Here we go Steamers. I just knocked out and am putting the finishing touches on the paperback. The book should be up on Kindle for Pre-Order in the next day or so. The book covers will not match between paperback and kindle due to rules and regulations and blah blah blah, requirements, blah, digital blah blah. Whatever. So, I'll figure that part out later. For now, let's just get the story out to you guys and figure out the dumb details later.
Here is the blurb for the book:
Ever make a mistake and wish you didn’t? That’s not what this book is about. Hey, I’m Jack. I got asked out by my boss without realizing it. She makes me do things I would never agree to doing with anyone else and things kind of spiral out of control. We lose track of each other and then fall back into each other’s arms during the dead of winter. She’s almost dead in my arms and I become her hero.
Not only does this (short story) book have the short version but it also has a second part at the end that gives you all the details after the story ends that you’re dying to know.
WARNING: ADULT LANGUAGE
So, I know a lot of my fans are really into the lesbian erotica genre but this one is between a dude and a dudette. I really enjoy how the story goes down. I really hope you guys do, too.
Always Yours,
Steamy

I'm Still Here Steamers!
Hey!
I can't believe I am still an author. It's crazy to think that I started over a decade ago and I'm still going strong. I am still working on some projects that are going to take a while to get just right. I want everything to be perfect for my fans. I will start working on a variety of different genres. Don't worry, I'll still be writing lesbian erotica. It's so fun to write, I refuse to give it up! Make sure to follow and subscribe to all of my stuff! I hope to start working on a YouTube Channel, once I get the balls to start doing videos. I'm so nervous just thinking about it. Feel free to message me to encourage me and let me know what you would like to see me make a video of. :-D

What Are You Currently Working On?
Hey Guys/Gals,
If I'm quiet for a day, I get asked this question. Everyone is always curious on what Steamy is up to. :) That's quite alright. I am happy you guys are keeping up with me and want to know these things.
I am working on two novels, actually. Nothing Lesbian Erotica, at the moment. No, I'm not completely steering away, I'm just trying to expand to different genres that also interest me. I love writing action/thriller/adventure/romance type stories. That's what I'm currently working on. Here, let me fill you in.
One story, I had started a blog a few years ago where I released chapters. I had over 500,000 fans following the book. Well, I'm rewriting it and finishing it. I'm only on chapter two of the rewrite, it may take me some time, as I have a busy schedule outside of writing.
Another story is pretty intense. It's Diary of Dharma. If you have followed my work, you know all about this story. I wrote it at the start of my career. The start of my career I was paid to start books for other authors. When my fans got ahold of the starter chapter, they urged me to buy my rights back and to finish it. So, in honor of my fans, I am doing just that. I just started chapter 2 on this book as well. It's also being rewrote.
I'm so thankful for my fans for always being there for me. This has been such a wonderful journey. I didn't think I'd get such a strong following. I hope it continues and more people learn about me. It's really hard being a variety author, but I truly hope you guys stick around to see what else I can do.
Respectfully,
K.R. Steam

What Are You Currently Working On?
Hey Everyone,
This is a good question, then again... you guys/gals as a lot of good questions. What am I working on, currently? Well, I am working on a few short stories for you guys. You know, I used to think everyone wanted longer stuff from me but somehow my short stories seem to be doing the best. So, I have decided to do a few more short stories for you guys.
I would give you hints about my work but I haven't even given these stories titles yet. I'm hoping to knock out a few short stories a day until the weekend. Maybe more, maybe less. Who knows. :)
What are you currently working on in your life? Yes you, the reader. I am also interested in who my readers are and what you guys are doing in your life. I also accept suggestions toward new books. Is there something you like about my work or look for in my work? What draws you in and holds your attention? What makes you My fan? I'd like a chance at being Your fan, too. :)

What Are Your Future Goals?
Great question! I'm glad I was asked this.
So, the goal.
Let's start from the beginning. Originally I didn't want anything to do with writing. Not really. I did it as a way to escape reality. Hide away from the world. I guess it was kind of like why some people read. They want to get lost in the moment; a moment that they are wrapped in that belongs in a book. The difference is, I want to create that moment. It's so fascinating how words can create such moments that we can't help but lose ourselves in them. Have you ever read a book and lost so much time inside of it that you felt incomplete once the book was over? You didn't want it to end so you just started from the beginning again? That's how I feel about writing.
So, the answer you've been waiting for is I want to write professionally. I want to do this as a career. My goal is to make writing my world, creating a whole bunch of different moments for everyone to get lost in. I want my words to help be someone else's sweet escape.
I hope this answers the question.
Thanks for reading,

Why Don't You Take That Many Pictures?
I get asked this question more than I ever expected. I'm not all about the selfie. I could care less about taking pictures of myself. Recently I started taking pictures again because my Mom would ask to see my face. I enjoy traveling and seeing nature at it's best (or worst) and so I hadn't really spent any time with family in a while and so I took a few pictures to make my Mom happy. It put a smile on her face and that's what I wanted. The fans were pretty excited when I posted pictures, too. So, I guess I made a lot of people happy doing it.
However, I don't really like taking pictures of myself. I look exactly the same minus a hair length, hair style, a pound in weight increase or a pound in weight decrease.
I guess if you guys ask enough, maybe I'll take some more.
In other news. I do plan on being the cover girl for one of my books I hope to turn into a novel. It's coming up on my book-to-write list. I have a few in line a head of it. I hope you're looking out for it. :)
My character will be Dharma, a ruthless warrior who wants to create freedom and happiness. I'm not sure what I'll be wearing for the possible photo shoot but it shall be fun!

Why Don't You Always Respond?
Alright. This is a question I get asked a lot. I don't want my fans to take my lack of response the wrong way. I will try to respond but not always right away. Heck, most authors won't respond at all. I try to.
The truth of the matter is I'm an introvert. I have to have a large amount of energy to carry on a conversation. If I don't have it and I'm online, I will not respond. I'll take my Facebook Messenger offline and write. After a heavy amount of writing I will probably respond. I'm refueled by my own thoughts and complete silence. Also, consider the fact that once I get online, not just one or two people pop up. I get about twenty to thirty people to pop up on my instant messenger ready to spark a conversation with me as soon as I appear online. Keep in mind, I have a couple thousand friends on Facebook. I have to pick and choose or decide to say nothing at all because I'm overwhelmed. If the conversation starts off funny, I will more than likely choose that conversation first. If it's a fan raving about a book, that's also more likely to get chosen first. The people who pop up ready to have a deep conversation about something or is dying to know me personally is less likely to get a response. That's an exhausting conversation. That's also why I started a blog. I let my fans get to know me on here.
A lot of people get the wrong idea and just assume I lost interest in the conversation or they think they said something wrong or get the wrong impression about me. I like to sit in silence. If the conversation is really making me run low on energy, I will sit and try to refuel. If I'm in a large group, I will listen and remain quiet. Everyone will have my attention all at once but I will not engage in conversation. That much social interaction is exhausting. That's not a joke. It truly is exhausting!
I prefer appearing offline and having one-on-one conversations.
It's plan and simple. I'm an introvert.

What Genre Do You Write?
Hey Ladies and Gents,
When I was first asked this in the beginning, nobody understood my answer.
I'm a variety author. Most people are used to an author being one specific genre. I guess I have a commitment issue because I don't like being tied down to just one genre. I don't know how anyone can stay in just one area when there's a large variety of genre's to dig into.
The first thing I ever wrote was Litter Bug, a children's book. It's about a little boy who is unable to fit in at school. He makes a fascinating discovery that litter can talk, after he throws a candy wrapper on the ground. The wrapper helps him make friends while also assisting all other forms of litter from dying alone in the world. After my first couple hundred buys, I realized writing was something I should stick with.
In the beginning of my career I wrote started chapters for Chainbooks.com. I've contributed and started books for Sci-Fi, Romance, Gay Romance, Lesbian Romance, Horror, Thriller, and Mystery.
I found my way under a Publisher called Bitten Press, LLC. doing Lesbian Erotica short stories. It was a truly amazing experience. I loved everyone in the Bitten Press, LLC family, I still do. I released myself and my stories and bought my copyrights. Since then, I've been self publishing.
I have a lot of books I'm working on that are sitting on my hard drive waiting to be my next work of art. Yes, I have a lot of Lesbian Erotica but I also have Action, Adventure, Straight Romance, Straight Erotica, Thriller, Horror, Drama, and Mystery.
The ultimate goal is to write so many books that I have to open up my own online book store. :)
I hope this helped answer the question and also assist in answering any future questions.
If you'd like to be informed on when I have released a new book, make sure to follow me on amazon.com or Subscribe to my mailing list on my Facebook Page.

What's The On My Radar Series About?
I actually get a lot of questions about why I started writing this series.
Let's start with the visual I had as I started. I wanted to create a feel of a TV series that was in book form. Short pieces to a puzzle, you could say. Each book gives a little bit more insight, a little bit more character development, a little bit more details to make some parts make sense and lead up to future parts.
You can dive in at any book, I suppose. It just doesn't always add up. The sex alone might be worth diving around through my lesbian erotica books but I suggest you follow the pattern.
On My Radar (book 1)
Still On My Radar (book 2)
Lost On My Radar (book 3)
and soon
Dead On My Radar (book 4)
What the books are about. Well. They're about a vampire and a human that fall in love. They're on a completely different level of love than most are used to. There are a lot of twists and turns that I can't mention but it all eventually leads back to the amount of love they feel for each other. There are other characters that may or may not be threats. And the sex! Oh the sex! I've had complete strangers message me to tell me how hot and bothered my words made them and how they wish they had what Tremlin and Jess have.
Oh, one more thing. Tremlin has to have sex in order to heal herself. (This isn't a normal issue for vampires but, thanks to Jess, she depends on sex in order to survive.)
I hope this helps.

Where Are You?
Hello Fan Family,
I know I have been gone a little while but I am back and going strong. I have just been sorting my life out, most people are. I have been working on the On My Radar Series the last few days, which I must say is going great! I have been moving at a fast yet steady pace.
The future holds many more opportunities. I will be trying to release as many books as I possibly can as often as I can type them out. I hope you all are as excited as I am!
Please feel free to comment on any ideas you want to give me or a direction you'd like to see me take in a book. ;)

What Are You Working On?
I get asked this question a lot. It's kind of hard to stick to one thing when you have a lot going on, but I'm trying to. A lot of my ideas are random and don't always have to do with one specific story.
Here's the question.
"What are you working on?"
Well, I'm working on a book called Gym Heat right now. It's, of course, a lesbian erotica romance. It's more emotional than most of my other stories and looks like it will be a lot longer. I'm not saying it's novel material but it may just become a novelette like one of my other books did.
"What's it about?"
Well, Gym Heat is about two women. One woman is in her own world and is completely self centered. She's not trying to get serious and also isn't looking for any sexual relations. The other woman used to lust after the first woman. She's became wrapped up in the one woman's schedule. One day the one woman finally notices the other woman after months of practically training side by side. Once the one woman comes out of her bubble and welcomes the other woman into her world, things get pretty hot and steamy.
"Are you working on anything else?"
Yes. I am working on five other books, not including this. Not all of them are lesbian erotica romances.

Do You Watch Porn?
This is such an intense question. It seems like a simple one but it's not. It's massive. I will honestly answer it, though.
"Do you watch porn?"
Yes. Yes I do. Sometimes I find myself in need of inspiration. I find myself with writers block or too much stress to push forward in a writing. I turn on lesbian porn and watch the emotional videos. I find myself actually rewinding just the emotional facial expressions. The emotion.
Having PTSD has caused me to emotionally detach from the world. I can hear a horrible story that would cause most people to tear up and I don't respond to it. I find myself getting angry when people shed tears to some of the most natural tear jerkers. I guess I get angry because I just don't feel that feeling anymore. Porn, to me, allows me to reconnect. The fake porn with fake lesbians and their fake emotions completely piss me off though. It's all about the kissing scenes and the way they react and respond to each other. If a woman is not interested, she can't fake her interest. I can't fake my emotions any better. If I don't have any, I just stare and wonder why everyone else has them.
I don't sit at a computer and masturbate to porn. I'm sure that was the initial reason for this question. I don't do it for perverted reasons. I do it for assistance in coping. I do it to push forward in my writing. Plus, the emotions I start feeling temporarily are released in my work, even the sexual emotions. I let it all go in my writing. I pour my true self into my work. The true self that is caught in PTSD and I feel like I can't find most of the time. That's who you guys get when I write. Which is why I find myself lost in my work when I read it myself later on. I feel emotionally connected to myself through my own words. It's fascinating.

How Do You Cope With PTSD?
This was a question that took me by surprise. I never answer this question when I'm asked. I try to bypass or avoid it. I don't like thinking about the painful parts of my life. I guess if it helps someone, I better find a way to discuss it, right?
Here's the question.
"How do you cope with PTSD?"
Having PTSD.... it's not easy, in all honesty. I'm lost, separated, anxious and ready to burst a lot of the time. My mind just rushes back to things I wish it wouldn't. I have a hard time communicating with people. I feel disconnected from the world.
I cope with my writing. I get lost and wrapped up in my own words. I reconnect with the world through my writing and the reviews people leave me. I feel like I'm able to communicate with my fans through my work. I release a lot of me into every book I write so I can release everything that's burning inside of me. I know, you're all like.. 'but your books are completely sexual...' Well, that is true. It's not about the sex, it's about everything that leads up to it. It's about everything after it. The sex is more my emotions exploding and me having my own release and form of connection. It's the only way I've ever been able to cope with this disease.
You know, it's funny. I reread my stuff after I've lost myself in it and time passes. I can't believe the things I've written down. Most of the time I blow my own mind. I don't feel like I have the talent to pull off a lot of the things I do. I write without a theme, without a direction, without an outline. So, to see how beautifully put together the books always turn out, it's fascinating. I don't think that far ahead, which is so unlike me. In a story, I don't think about anything. I just, go with the flow. You guys read... me getting lost and swept up in imaginary moments. Hell, some of you tell me my writing is some of the best sex you've ever read. That still has me in a daze, wondering if that's true or if you're just saying it. I hope it's true.
All in all, that burning question on if you should keep reading my books or if I'm just going to stop writing one day and leave you all on the hook. That's not going to happen. Writing is my happy place. It's how I cope. I need my writing. I'll be around for as long as I live. What once was a sweet escape for a day or two has led to an addiction. An addiction I refuse to give up. Writing is the best prescription.

How Do You Make Time For Your Writing?
So, since I started this blog, a lot of people have been randomly asking me questions. I think it's in pursuit to have their question posted on here. Haha! Goofballs! Maybe I'll do shout-outs soon, if that's what you guys really want. :-p
I received this question a few days ago.
"How do you make time for your writing?"
You know... I don't necessarily make time for writing. My brain more forces me to write down what I'm thinking far before I ever have a chance to actually make time for an actual writing session. Then, later on, my brain starts racing with all of these thoughts for one of the dozen books I'm working on and just won't stop. So, I'm forced to find a stopping point in whatever I may be doing so I don't lose out on these brilliant ideas. I will bring up all of my book concepts and throw the thoughts I have down into each book and then go back to what I was doing. I think to have a writer's brain... you can consider it a blessing or a curse.
It's a blessing because your brain never stops going. You can write a whole book in a matter of days and blow your fans and yourself out of the water with the ideas and concepts that hit you.
The curse of it all is your brain never stops going. You can't turn it off. You'll be laying in bed, watching tv, driving down the road, in the middle of a concert, drinking coffee with the in-laws and your brain will target something in a book that you have been trying to figure out. Next thing you know, you're trying to find a way to either write things down or work on your book. After a while people get used to you jumping out of your chair and running straight for your computer. The problem is when nobody gets used to you doing that.
The biggest fear any writer has is support. If you don't have a support group in your life such as fans, friends who encourage and a spouse who reads and gets wrapped up in your stuff... you're doomed. You're doomed until you have those things. Well, most people are. I wasn't. I picked myself up off the floor, brushed myself off and kept at it.
Don't give up. Don't tune your writing thoughts out. Don't walk away from your own talents, even if you're the only one who currently appreciates them. Find people who are willing to read your work. Find your fans and surround yourself with them. Let them boost you up and encourage you. If you feel your writing isn't good enough, read other people's work so you can identify your own strengths and weaknesses. Read your book reviews to see what people think you need to improve on or what you were amazing at.
"Do you have scheduled writing sessions for yourself?"
I do find the time to write. I know I have a lot of ideas flowing through me everyday and I know I don't get a chance to write every single thought down that belongs in a book. I do find an opening in my week each week in order to get lost in my writing. It's not easy when you're incredibly busy but it is a necessity. I definitely wish there were more hours in each day. I also wish I was a lot less busy.
